Arrival of Foreign Merchants－A Retrospective on Anping's Golden of Trade

The Former Tait & Co. Merchant House is one of the five major trading companies in Tainan and one of only two remaining merchant buildings today. It stands as a witness to Anping’s history of international trade. The permanent exhibition is divided into areas focusing on trade, daily life, business operations, and interactive role-play. Visitors can learn about the background of Anping’s port opening, the lives of foreigners in Anping, how merchants managed imports and exports, and even experience historical trade activities through hands-on role-playing.
