Live vote tally

Check votes and abstentions, then break ties in another round.

How to use

A host records votes, abstentions and the expected voter count for 2–8 options on one device. Confirm only when totals match. Save each round, run a runoff for tied leaders and copy confirmed records for informal show-of-hands polls.

Start in three steps

  1. Enter 2–8 different options, one per line, with 1–40 characters per name. Set 1–10,000 expected voters, then begin recording.
  2. Explicitly enter decimal integers from 0 to 10,000 for every option and for abstentions. Blank is not zero. Under-counts and over-counts cannot be confirmed; lock the round only when totals match.
  3. For a tie, start a runoff with only the tied leaders and reset counts to zero. You can change the expected voter count. All abstentions produces no valid votes. Copy confirmed rounds; reopening a mistaken tally requires confirmation.

Storage and limitations

Options, counts and records are calculated in your browser and kept in this page's memory only. They are not sent to a server or saved persistently. Copy before leaving or refreshing. The tool checks totals, not identities, duplicate votes or offsetting omissions. It is not for formal elections.

Frequently asked questions

Can participants vote on their own phones?

The host enters aggregate counts on one device. There is no online voting or identity verification. Each participant chooses one option or abstains; the total must match before confirmation.

What happens with a tie or when everyone abstains?

When valid votes have tied leaders, only those leaders advance to a runoff with counts reset to zero. If everyone abstains, the result is no valid votes, with no winner or zero-vote runoff.

Can votes be restored after refreshing?

No. Counts and confirmed records exist only in this page's memory and are not sent to a server or saved persistently. Copy any results you need before leaving.
