Three-peg tower challenge

Move the disks together from peg A to peg C.

How to use

Two to six people share one device to solve the classic Tower of Hanoi: choose three or four disks and move them from peg A to peg C.

Start in three steps

  1. Choose three or four disks, arranged by size on peg A. Smaller numbers denote smaller disks.
  2. Choose a source peg, then a destination. Move only the top disk; a larger disk cannot rest on a smaller one. Each legal move counts as one step. Undo the latest move before completion.
  3. Move all disks to peg C to finish. The step count is shown and moves and undo are locked. Restarting or changing disk count requires confirmation; cancel preserves the game.

Storage and limitations

The game stays in page memory; leaving or refreshing clears it. There is no login, connection, timer or leaderboard.

Frequently asked questions

How many steps can I undo?

Before completion, undo the most recent legal move. The snapshot is then cleared; there is no redo or earlier history.

Can I move after finishing?

Moves and undo are locked after completion. Confirm a restart or disk-count change to start a new game.

Can I refresh and continue?

No. Game data is kept only in page memory and is cleared when you refresh or leave.
