Formats and limits
The original text is up to 1 MiB in UTF-8, including whitespace, BOM, and all newlines.
The grapheme cluster is calculated based on the current browser's Intl.Segmenter, and may vary depending on the Unicode version.

Frequently asked questions
How to count empty text, trailing newlines and blank lines?
Empty text is 0 lines; CRLF is counted as a newline, separate CR/LF are counted as one each, and the last newline is added to the last empty line. Non-blank lines only need to contain characters, including spaces and tabs.
