Text Code Point Viewer User Guide

Inspect all code points or only invisible characters locally, with UTF-16 offsets and line/column positions.

How to use

  1. Choose all code points or invisible characters, paste text and inspect the code points.
  2. Check the escaped list, with numbers starting at 1 and UTF-16 offsets starting at 0.
  3. Copy the list; editing input clears the old result.

Formats and limits

  • All-code-point mode supports 10,000 entries; invisible mode supports 100,000 UTF-16 code units and 10,000 lines. Valid surrogate pairs count once; lone surrogates are marked invalid.
  • Invisible mode lists Unicode whitespace, format and control characters plus lone surrogates. Lines and code point columns start at 1; CR and LF each have an entry.
  • Code points are not graphemes; zero-width characters can be legitimate. This tool does not clean text, assess safety or restore source files.

Output

Output a safely escaped plain-text list in logical order; data stays in page memory.
